Read the tree with [useVirtualTree](/docs/reference/hooks/use-virtual-tree) and the display settings with [useDesktopSettings](/docs/reference/hooks/use-desktop-settings).

The provider sets Finder's desktop label visibility to `showLabels` and turns labels back on when it unmounts.
