## Parameters

useDesktopSelection(
  onSelectionChange?: ((paths: string[]) => void)

```

`onSelectionChange`: optional callback that receives the selected paths on each change.

## Returns

`selection: string[]`, the current selection, and `setSelection(paths)`. Finder does not allow desktop icons to be selected programmatically, so `setSelection` only affects Finder windows.
